Tried the iPad to surf YouTube and it was terrible. Had to go to Google to actually find the YouTube video, then it wouldn't play correctly. What takes 3 seconds on a PC took 5 minutes. Waste of time. Get a netbook.

i will be so happy when these devices like this change to Electronic paper, the contrast may not be great yet but it keeps getting better. I bought a amazon kindle a little while ago and it so much nicer to read off, black white tho but i think colour Electronic paper has been made. i only say this becuase the light shining from lcd hurts my eyes you can't see it very well in the sun and it drains the battery. Although it doesn't need a light to see it in the dark unlike Electronic paper.

I love my iPad ! The moment I took it out of the box I fell in love with it. Keynote is lovely and my favourite app is Labyrinth 2 HD. The only new feature I'd like would be a camera. According to Apple the new iPhone 4G will have a 5 mega pixel camera and on the video it looks so small. I'm sure you could get a good 10 megapixel camera on an iPad.

@oOohyaOo I would wait till the 2nd generation iPad comes out. By then iPad will have a front facing camera so you can use Facetime. You will be able to use Facetime with iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 users. It may be cheaper and have a better screen. iBooks I hear has the same problem as any e book store as in book selection. From my understanding the iBook store suffers more than the others from this. It has been out 4 months so eventually it will have a wide selection as e books continue to rise.

@beebletox Well, Apple is good for minimalists. I dislike them for their commercials, where they talk about PC's, as if they are impossibly complicated. Very misleading. PC's can do games much better, and there are many more titles. BTW, yeah you can have a very capable PC cheap these days. :) I priced one the other day on Google, and I found a complete PC (including monitor, keyboard, and mouse) for under $400. It would be able to handle games, too.

You know the other thing that really annoys me is how Apple Fans back Apple up regardless of what the situation is. Guess what Apple uses the same hardware PC does, same processor, harddrive, memory, motherboard, graphics, infact even the displays are made by companies like LG.. It will do the more then the ipad can, you could also install Snow Leopard/Linux/Windows. Ipad is lacking everything= No multitasking, no dvd, no flash, low storage, no keyboard, no hdmi, no cam. Yeah Its fun to use, I will admit, but it will never replace a laptop/desktop. You can ask anyone.. And for $549CAD(499USD) its crap.. Its just a big ipod

I've held it a couple times and played around with it and found that it was very similar to my ipod touch. No problem there because I absolutely LOVE my ipod touch and practically use it 24/7. I definitely am going to purchase the Ipad just because it IS a bigger ipod touch and can enhance the experience by like 10x! I would love to be able to watch videos, play games, do email on a bigger screen. I also have a 17" HP Dv9000 laptop that is just too bulky to carry around. The Ipad will be perfect

I played with an iPad in the Apple store and believe me the whole point of it is ease of use, because of the bigger screen they have REALLY thought out the view you get, like the iTunes store which on the iPad is the best layout I've seen.
