@SirSmokeify Actually I'm not impressesd with the way it looks, or any of the Fisher Price like styling of Apple. It's the quality of it, and how it works. I've been back to the store to really try one out again. And the fact that it's just a big fat iPod may be exactly what I like about it. I am disappointed in the iPhone as a phone, but I love everything else about it and wish it were bigger when I'm using it. Is the iPad worth the money? NO. But I still want one. It's an expierence.

@1Zarg93 i used windows PC's for over 15 years they were good, until windows xp that was a shitload of crashes (and believe me, i know how to work with computers) after that xp shit i got myself a vista pc, they told me, all the errors are gone i know that you cant erase ALL errors, no one can do that one any system but vista was even worse so then i bought a mac i have it now for 3 years and i never had a problem with it i dont hate windows, they should work upon windows 98 that was great

@SatarSatelliteSahara But. The user experience on the iPad is just amazing compared to netbooks. You just can't compare the UI of a netbook, with it's tiny screen where toolbars take up a third of the screen space and track pad to multitouch on the iPad. I'm not a fanboy, but I have tried out both iPads and netbooks, and for everyday, casual use, the iPad wins.

@thewebmogul HP slate has a fundamental flaw... its made by HP. Besides, who buys a slate to substitute a computer anyway? It's gonna be a netbook, so underpowered you can't run the desktop apps you want to and would be faster just rdp or vnc'ing into your other computer. It's hilarious watching people want a slate and bad mouthing the iPad. Why not buy a powerful tablet like a lifebook t4310 that isn't just a iPad clone, and actually has the power to do more at a decent speed?

going to get one of these within this week. Although I don't really find it *too* useful to be a must, but it's certainly one of the more easy to use portable devices out there. i'm ashamed with apple, they intentionally leave out features and slowly add them in through a series of "generations". So much wasted space there - just look at the iPhone. I won't be surprised if an "iPad 4" comes out in 3 years with hd video, facetime, and all the other missing stuff. That's not to say i won't continue to buy their products though...

@sonicdaguy Nope when you get it there is no 3G when you buy it. You go in the settings to buy a month of service. 15 bucks will buy you 250 megabytes and 30 bucks will buy you 2 GB of data. There'd is no contract so if you buy one month you buy one month no more no less. Hope this helped!

Simple PC,made kinda smaller(depends on with what are you comparing it too) and with limitations.Not to speak about no flash support,that sounds just outrageus to me. And the price does bites..at this price i could buy myself laptop,which not only "bring internet to me","will make it look bigger" or whatever,but will be without lots of limitations.Good GPU's also can't be fitted,so no fancy games for iPad.So 10 for design and 0 for anything else here.

I'm guessing he uses final cut pro. That would be the easiest software and if done properly can get the effects he creates of having himself in there over and over. The minute I picked up an iPad in Best Buy I said, wow it's a giant iPod touch with no more memory and way more cost. What a waste. Your videos are amazing. I am sorry, but the fact is many people just want to read. I for one have already have a desktop, a laptop, and a smart phone, but I don't want to read a novel on any of them. On the other hand a dedicated device like the Amazon Kindle allows me to read novels quite comfortably for hours, without worrying about recharging it as frequently as the heavier iPad.

I'm in two minds whether or not to get one of these. It's going to be either an iPad or Laptop. The upsides I can see are the brilliant touchscreen, battery life and quality of the whole system. The downside for me is the fact that some websites will load in the iPad as if you're browsing through a mobile phone (ie. dumbed down) and no Flash support. I also hate the bloated iTunes on the PC with a passion which is required to back up the system. I'll be purchasing either an iPad or Laptop soon.

You will be able to use Facetime with iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 users. It may be cheaper and have a better screen. iBooks I hear has the same problem as any e book store as in book selection. From my understanding the iBook store suffers more than the others from this. It has been out 4 months so eventually it will have a wide selection as e books continue to rise.
